Dear Contacts, I miss you terribly....

When I think about my "prized possessions" I never add my contacts to the list until now. My eyes have been totally irritated lately, and today I just couldn't stand it anymore. They burned, were red, itchy, watery, felt like something was in it (like maybe a whole 9 foot palm tree), and just totally uncomfortable. Well I went to the eye dr, and apparently I shouldn't sleep in my contacts. Who knew? Just kidding (about the who knew part), I knew! Almost everyone who has not been locked in a dungeon for the last 20 years knows that (unless of course you have the neat night and day contacts, then you can sleep in them all you want). Anyways apparently it has caused some sort of thingy on my eyes and I cannot wear my contacts until it clears up and I have to put little steroid sort of drops in 4 times a day. I totally forgot how much more comfortable contacts are then glasses. I totally feel like I am wearing a face mask. Lesson to be learned.....When your eye Dr tells you NOT to fall asleep in your contacts, a good idea would be to listen to him. It cost me a $20 co-pay and my pride, all so he could reassure me that I am an idiot.

P.S Just so you know I actually think most people look really good in glasses. It is not that I don't like the way I look in them (i am certain I look totally sassy ;) I just don't like to wear them.
