Today I hear a little voice at the bottom of the stairs, so I open the door. I hear little Madison saying "mom, mom, mom, mom, I want to go up now." So I said in a semi-quiet voice "Madison? Madison?" All of the sudden I hear an absolutely delighted scream as a little 3 1/2 year old runs up the stairs screaming "AAAAAMMMMMYYYY!!!" Now THAT is how I imagine ALL of my encounters with visitors to be, although they never turn out quite like that. ;)
Madison came to play with Anthon today and I must say he was MORE then excited. We introduced her to the world of processed unhealthy food such as Mini Corn Dogs, She laughed as she figured out how the view finder works (which she played with for the LONGEST time, she totally LOVED it!!),
we had cheesecake, to which she replied "I dont really like cheese on my cake."
They colored, painted, read books, and played trains of course. But the CUTEST of all was this conversation I overheard:
Madison (coloring some flowers on her picture): "This sure is pretty, look Anthon, look how pretty"
Anthon: "Yes they are, just like you, your pretty too."
Maddison: "Thank you Anthon."
Anthon: "Well yea, you are the same, pretty and pretty"
He gets his Don Juan words from his pa. Oh what a proud mommy moment. A couple hours after she left Anthon comes over and sits on my lap, gives me a big hug and says "This was such a very super fun day mom. Whats for dinner?" I agree it was a very super fun day. Now really, whats for dinner?

Amy, stop making me cry. I am running out of tissues!
Thank you for taking such good care of Maddie - and are we ever going to get back into arranged marriages for our kids? Anthon would be at the top of the Wingnut list!
