here it is, as requested (and for posterity sake) the poem I so lovingly wrote Dan for his birthday:
Happy Birthday Dan (& Obama)
Although you share your day with Obama
Let us all pray your years are filled with less drama
Your birth certificate I have seen
You are a citizen true and clean
You may not have a white house lawn to mow
or a dog you bought just for show
you don't have your face made into Halloween masks,
But you do your best, that's all Jesus asks.
