You may recall that I ran...(technically is it still called running if you could do the crab walk faster then I was going?) the Top of Utah Half Marathon last year. I plan on doing it again because I have OCD and I need to get it under 2 hours. Well at the end of the half marathon my legs had a very serious "sit down" conversation with the rest of my body, telling it that if it is punishment we seek maybe a nice poke in the eye or a swift un-expected dead leg would suffice. It was at that moment I knew I would never run a full marathon. Not because I cant, but because by golly I don't want to. Well the Ironman Triathlon is up here in a few weeks. I've seen the signs and heard all the hype, but I had NO idea what it really entailed. Today I learned that it is
Swim 2.4 miles
Bike 112 Miles
Run 26.2 Miles
(Beck that's all you)
At first I thought it was a joke....nope no joke. People actually do that....and enjoy it. Maybe if I could run more then 5 miles without hoping the ice cream truck drives by it might help. I can assure you with every ounce of my being I will never be participating in a triathlon of that sort. EVER. But i do think it is very awesome that it is actually doable by humans....without superpowers.......maybe its just an april fools joke.

Yeah, people are weird! It's amazing. And, I will never run a full marathon either. Unless I get those shoes with the wheels in the heel and coast down the hill.
Yeah, that is something else, I agree. I loved the line about wishing the ice cream truck would drive by. You are so my kind of gal! :)
I just saw that the freak of nature who won the Boston Marathon did it in 2 hours and 4 minutes. That is insane. Sure miss you!!
