baby steps to the kitchen...baby steps

heaven knows I am not the worlds best cook. Ok let me rephrase that, I am not the worlds smartest cook. I have to have kindergarten instructions that guide you exactly step by step or something WILL go wrong. For instance dont tell me there is a "Dash" of salt because "dash" is not a measurement, "Dash" is the kids name on the Incredibles movie and I do not have a measuring utensil for "dash." I will stare at the recipe for a good ten minutes, call my mom, then call Beck, then probably Dan's mom before I am comfortable enough to put in a so called "dash" of something. A few years back Emily introduced me to my saving grace website AllRecipes.com. All I have to do is type in what I want, and tons of recipes will come up for that thing. You can sort them and find the ones with the most 5 star ratings and you are sure to be in for a great recipe. Lately I have been super discouraged about the lovely website, so here comes the venting...... DO NOT rate the recipe as 5 stars and then list a whole novel about what you changed about it!! Ugh! Double ugh! I am sure my "5 star" enchiladas that I made the other night would have turned out much better had I not been too lazy before hand to read the 5 star rating comments where they suggested calling Bobby Flay to come to your home to add his personal touch. Anyways, on a happy note try THIS it is my all time favorite recipe EVER, (and I am an EXTREMELY picky eater) and it is as easy as pie. hahaha get it. Thank you Dani you have forever changed my life. If I ever get the chance to meet you I will not kiss you, but will give you a big ole hug. And also try THIS, Martha Stewart maybe a moron in some areas of her life, but when it comes to decorating, crafts, and mac & cheese she gets two thumbs up from me. You will NOT be disappointed I promise!

I'm with you 100%! I love the website, but like you said you have to read all the comments as well. I would hate to see how our dinners would come out if we cooked together!

Ummmmm...can I just say that the Dash comments made me laugh out loud, and I don't do that a lot!! You, my dear, are a comedic genius!!
