its always fun when the stauffy's come...

You know it was a great weekend when the kids slept til 9am this morning. And yes it was a FANTASTIC weekend! The stauffy's came to visit and I must say we had a fun time from beginning to end. 5 kids under the age of 6 and 4 adults in our two bedroom apartment may sound overwhelming, and although nobody got a whole lot of sleep, it was an absolute funfest! (It is also a HUGE deal that they decided to come in July when it is a nice cool 106 degrees throughout the day because they are not fans of the heat. I even turned our air conditioner down a few degrees just for them ;).

We ate at pirates (twice)

We went to Jumping Jacks. The kids wore themselves out, and all of the adults got some sort of battle wound from our much needed desire for competition.

We had some super sweet dance parties where paul taught us how to shake it.

We went to the splash park. Lydia was not a fan, Noah just wanted to run away from us, and the other 3 enjoyed it 100%

We went to Fiesta Fun

Emily and I snuck away for a movie (My Sisters Keeper. Was sooo disappointed that it didn't follow the book closer, but still a good movie)
Learned what Emily thinks about as she sees people pull up next to her in the car ;) I am so glad I know you Em's!

Had about a million snow cones

Laughed until I cried every night playing games and laughing with Dan, Em's and Eric

It was a super fun few days and we were all sad to see them go. A couple of us had tears, and we will forever try and convince our families to move out here :)
(ok Beck, your turn!)

We had such a fun time! It's totally worth the toasty heat to have so much fun & laugh that hard. This is definitely becoming a tradition. We love you guys! Thanks again!

I am soooo jealous! JJ and I are in serious need of a LONG weekend with the Stauffy's. I guess I can share them with you, but only because you are family. *sniff, sniff* I want a turn Em's!
