the love/hate relationship....

I love going... I hate leaving. Honestly I still cry for a good hour when we leave the good old land of family. This time was no exception, although usually I am pretty good at holding it in until we get in the car and out the driveway, this time, nope, I started before we even said goodbye. Its not that I don't like St George, because I do (most of the time), it is just that I have had a really hard time making this place feel like home. It could be because when we go home it is exactly what I picture life should be like, kids riding their bikes all around the neighborhood and them playing outside until we call them in for lunch and then back outside until dinner time, playing games with cousins, going to the farm with grandpa, and being around people who claim to like me ;) and doing stuff with friends all the time. Anyways enough of my little pitty party.... We did have a GREAT time despite Noah being sick, the car getting backed into and needing a new bumper, and my grandma B giving us quite the scare with her heart. Anywhoo here's how the vaca went:

Started off with a little fun at the Bear Lake cabin with my mom and my family. We swam, played, ate, swam some more, played some more, and laughed a lot. And I might add, that no-one in MY sunscreen care (including myself) got sunburned. Job well done me.

After Bear Lake it was back to Providence to play play play some more. We BBQ'd in the back yard, played on the slip in slide, went to the breakfast at Willow zoo on the 24th of july, Anthon went to the farm with Grandpa and Dan, got a snowcone a day, and just had a jolly good time.

And just a tiny note of the crummy stuff (cause there always has to be something): My grandma was in the ICU with a leaky heart Valve, it was super scary and super emotional. My Grandma and I are REALLY close. Her and I had a nice bawl fest in the ICU one night. But now a couple of Priesthood Blessings later and her valve is healing on its own! YAY!!

Had to take Noah to insta-care, It was either that or give him to the neighbors, because he cried for about a week! As it turns out the poor little guy had a sore throat. :(

While at the Stauffy's someone backed into the Honda. The lady's Tahoe was fine, not even a scratch, but the poor honda needed a new bumper. 20 minutes later we had it in the shop, and 2 days later she was good as new.

So now we are home and dealing with the "Post-Cache Valley Depression" as I like to call it. Somewhere DEEP deep down inside, I am glad to be home.

Dont you wish we could just transplant out family down here so we could have St George AND family? Just a side note. There are MANY townhomes for rent and sale by us. Many kids riding bikes, awesome ward members, etc. Just a thought.

That's a good looking hat you are wearing. I knew Ern was a closet Yankee fan.
