Its no secret that Dan and I are HUGE fans of Dave Ramsey (as should you all be). Well Dan submitted the following story to Dave Ramsey.com's "Stupid Tax" section.
-A while back we sold our car and bought one with cash so that we didn't have a car payment (which by the way was one of the greatest decisions we have ever made. We will NEVER again have a car payment.) Anywhoo, we bought a cheap car so we COULD pay cash. It runs, really good, low miles, ect, but there are some minor things like the visor, cd player, handles, ect that are broken. Whenever Dan or I get frustrated we always say "well, its paid for." So the other day Anthon was in playing with some toys. He accidentally breaks one and comes to get me and says "Mom, come see what else is paid for, look this toy broke, I guess its paid for." So the next 10 minutes consisted of me explaining to Anthon that "paid for" does not mean "broken"
(its not word for word whats on Daveramsey.com. Dan left names out to protect the innocent on the website, plus I tend to ramble more then Dan :)
Oh and Anthon also informed me today that we "surely need a little sister." I asked him if he needed his mouth washed out with soap....ok I didn't really, I just smiled, but I wanted to say that. Either that or "Son, for the purpose of keeping mommy sane please keep the desire for any more siblings out of your prayers, and off of all Christmas lists."

Randomly came across your blog while looking at my lame one that I haven't added to in a couple of years. I had to comment on your son's wish for a little sister because we thought we were done with two and, surprise! The vasectomy didn't work. Anyway, I'm slowly getting used to the idea at 12 weeks. There's your warning, watch out!
I LOOOVE Dave Ramsey. That's a freakin funny story. haha.
That is a funny story, I love it! We are HUGE fans of Dave Ramsey too. We went to his show this summer at the Salt Palace. It was good, but pretty much he just taught the five baby steps. I love that your car is paid for. We have never owned a car with less than 100,000 miles on it, but we can say we have never had a car payment! I love to hear that other people love him.
