Yesterday I was punched in the face by reality. It true. When did we all of the sudden grow up? I realised a sad truth yesterday, that being, that even the best of friends can drift apart into almost strangers, and strangers can end up being the best of friends. When you are younger you pretty much have it all planned out...you and your best friend will be that way forever, you will live in a culdesac next door to each other, you will BBQ with the families, Vacation together, your families will be best friends, and your kids too....then life happens, moving happens, distance happens, and all of a sudden......Life.
I love my life. Its not perfect and that's what I love about it. I love my husband, my kids, my house, my town, my job, my family, my new friends. I miss my best friends from the past, I miss living close to my family, I miss having that one SUPER close friend just minutes away, but I love my life.
BUT sometimes friendships last through distance and time. There are those rare friends that you will be friends with forever, you don't need to see or even talk to each other every day, or every week, or heck even once a month. Well in 3 days I get to see.....

I love that you all are still so close. Thats how my group of high school gals are too. I feel lucky that even though I'm in SD we are still just as close and when I lived by them. Have so much fun on your girls trip. Can't wait to see your pics ;)
Yuck! Where did you find that horrible picture of me! I am so getting you back. I can't wait to see you!
I love the 1994'ish picture- those were the good old days! Anyway I'm so happy you are all so close. I told Heather sometime our girls trip should overlap with yours. Sounds fun. PS- I think you get hotter each year you live!
